Dr. Stanley Penner, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Jan. 25 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Stanley was born on Aug. 17, 1932, to Simon and Jenny Penner in Kansas City, Missouri. After Stanley graduated from Central High School, he went on to study medicine at UMKC and the University of Missouri.

After graduating in 1958, he began his career as a pediatrician. He was an amazing pediatrician to Kansas City, seeing thousands of patients over his 40+ year career, ranging from kids to some of the Super Bowl I, IV Chiefs players to one of his hospice nurses. He always called patients back promptly before the era of the cell phone.

He was an avid fan of the Chiefs and Royals.

Stanley was predeceased by his mother, Jenny; father, Simon; and brothers, Dave, Louis and Ben. He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Jeff (Edi); grandson, Skyler; former wife, Sharon; sister, Dorothy; three stepsons and several nieces and nephews.
