Kehilath Israel Synagogue will host the 24th annual Allan Greenberg Memorial Kehilath Israel Golf Tournament at the Tomahawk Hills Golf Course on Monday, June 5.

This year’s tournament is dedicated to the memory of Seymour Weiner, a fervent supporter of the synagogue and the golf tournament. Weiner usually worked behind the scenes, gathering items for the golf’s auction, volunteering the day of the tournament, and doing whatever he could, whenever he could, to help the synagogue.

The tournament draws people from the Kansas City Jewish community as well as the general business community. Players often bring their family, friends and work associates. Attendees can experience the camaraderie and networking opportunities that often arise.

The golf format is four person scramble (flighted). Check-in and a kosher continental breakfast is at 7 a.m., and the shotgun start is at 8 a.m. Snacks and drinks will be available throughout the event. At the end of the tournament, players will receive a kosher boxed lunch, and prizes will be awarded.

The opportunity to place bids for the silent auction will be open throughout the day. Gift cards for entertainment, restaurants, spa days, repair services, and sporting events will be auctioned off, as well as wine, jewelry, beauty products and sports items.

The cost is $200 per player, which includes all the day’s food and activities.

Many sponsorship opportunities are available at levels ranging from $600 to $5,000. Sponsors are recognized in several different ways at the tournament and throughout the year.
