There will be a 2023 Hadassah Momentum open house on March 26 at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Jennifer Schlozman, the community leader for this partnership in Greater Kansas City, will be participating in this event.

Those attending the open house will learn about the fall 2023 trip to Israel, which will take place Oct. 23 to Nov. 1. This 10-day trip is a highly subsidized tour.

Prior to the trip and upon their return, participants will have monthly group meetings to learn together.  During the “Year of Growth” after the trip, participants will further their Jewish values and decide how to engage with Evolve Hadassah and the local chapter.

Ten women from Greater Kansas City, including Schlozman, will be joining 30 women from three other communities across the US to participate in this partnership between Evolve Hadassah and Momentum.

Evolve Hadassah: The Next Generation is the young women’s department within Hadassah and welcomes all women in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Evolve Hadassah empowers the next generation of Hadassah women to make an impact on the organization and within their communities, to support each other and women everywhere; and to build personal connections that will last a lifetime.

Momentum Unlimited, formerly Jewish Women’s Renaissance Project, is an organization that empowers women to change the world through Jewish values. As a partner organization, Hadassah brings women to Israel and infuses the passion for and commitment to the land, the people, and the future of Israel through visits to a Hadassah Youth Aliyah Village and to Hadassah Medical Organization.

Momentum has three requirements for this trip. Participants must:

  • Have at least one child at home under the age of 18
  • Not be highly engaged in the Jewish community or Jewish ritual observance
  • Be physically and emotionally healthy

All women who qualify and are interested are encouraged to attend the open house and apply.
