To promote its Wipe Out campaign for toilet paper collections, Jewish Family Services staff and leadership are hosting an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on June 16 at JFS’ Brookside East location, 425 E. 63rd Street.

The open house event will include ice cream, popcorn and music in the parking lot to celebrate summer and the ability to gather together. A toilet paper tower built by BRR Architecture will be on display. Opportunities will be available to learn about the programs and services JFS offers, and tours of the JFS Food Pantry that helps more than 800 families monthly will be held.

Attendees will be able to put together Kesher KC bags that will go to meet the immediate needs of potential JFS clients who come to JFS’ offices or on the streets of Kansas City.

The open house coincides with JFS' annual Wipe Out campaign collecting toilet paper for clients. Toilet paper and hygiene items are not covered under government assistance programs. JFS always needs to replenish its toilet paper supply at the pantry. Those attending the open house are encouraged to bring packages of toilet paper to donate.

The JFS Open House is free, and registration is encouraged by going to www.jfskc.org/wipeout/.  Details are available on the website about both the event and the Wipe Out campaign.
