The food pantry at Jewish Family Services has been serving more than 800 families in the Kansas City area each month. To keep the pantry operating efficiently and meet community needs, volunteers are a necessary component.

Currently, the food pantry has immediate volunteer opportunities for:

  • Drivers to pick up food donations from area stores and organizations
  • Drivers to deliver Kansas and Missouri food pantry guests
  • Food pantry stocker at the JFS Brookside location
  • Food pantry shopper at Kansas location at Jewish Community Campus

The volunteer opportunities take place during the workday, typically Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each volunteer opportunity varies in time commitment.

To volunteer, visit jfskc.org/volunteer/ to fill out the volunteer form or contact JFS Volunteer Engagement at (913) 730-1410 or .

Currently, all JFS volunteers must have proof of a COVID-19 vaccine and undergo a background check. Once approved, the JFS team will work with your schedule to find the perfect fit.
