Gloria Bernstein, 86, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Nov. 9, 2015. Gloria married Gilbert Bernstein and had three children. She was known for lighting up any room with her vivacious personality and kind heart. She loved to play bingo, laugh and eat matzah ball soup.
Gloria is survived by daughters Susan (Jeff) Kivett, Karen (John) Schwartz, daughter-in-law Laura Harris. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Granddaughters Andrea Hirsekorn, Dana (Cash) Kern, Leah and Sydney Bernstein, and Rachel Kivett. Grandsons Gabriel and Jordan Kivett. Great-grandson, Jack Kern. Sister Genevieve Dimond of Los Angeles, California, and many nieces and cousins. Gloria was predeceased by husband, Gilbert, and son Barry. She will be missed but never forgotten as she was loved by many. “Peace, Love and BBQ.”
The family wants to thank her devoted doctor, Donald Cohen, the staff at the Atriums, Village Shalom and KC Hospice for taking such good care of Gloria. Services were held at Eternal Light Cemetery in Boynton Beach, Florida, on Nov. 11.
