Corrine Judy Gerson

Corrine Judy Gerson, 77, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away May 14, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services were held Sunday, May 17, at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.

 

Corrine, along with her late husband Eddie, owned and operated Edcor Safety from 1957 to 1988. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Corrine, along with her lifelong friend Sylvia Kotelov, owned and operated Party Pleezers from 1977 to 1988.  

Corrine was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, served as president of its sisterhood and was co-chair of the membership committee. 

Corrine was born in Kansas City, Missouri, was a lifelong area resident and was 1956 graduate of Paseo High School.  

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband Eddie of 51 years; her parents, Helen and Louis Jacobs; her sister Betty Weisman; and her brother, Phillip Jacobs.  

Corrine is survived by her children: Hope Cohn, Howard and Cherice Gerson and Pam Gerson and partner Michele Miller; sister: Rose Carr; grandchildren: Louis and Mika Cohn, Andrew and Katie Cohn; Aron, Molly, Lindsey and Brian Gerson; great-grandchildren: Jack William and Noah Edward Cohn. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
