Judith L. Gilgore, 73, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. Funeral services were to be held on April 15 at The Louis Memorial Chapel; with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Hadassah, Greater Kansas City Chapter, 3909 W. 101st Terrace, Overland Park, KS 66207.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Minnie and Manuel Goldman, and was a lifelong area resident. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Judith attended Southwest High School and the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of Hadassah and B’nai B’rith.
Judith loved playing scrabble, reading, golfing, traveling with family and friends and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dr. Alfred Gilgore, and her parents. Judith is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Alison Gilgore and Jonathan Samet, Valerie Gilgore and Jim Rudolph; brothers and sister-in-law: Stan and Hedy Goldman, Morrie Goldman; sisters and brothers-in-law: Eileen and Tim Haats, Debra and Tom James; sister-in-law: Eda Gilgore Feder and husband, Donn; grandchildren: Zev Rudolph Gilgore and Jamie Rudolph Gilgore; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
