Howard L. Levine, 80, passed away April 8, 2015, at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral services were held in the chapel at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery, Sunday, April 12. The family suggests contributions to Children’s Mercy Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Howard’s passion was family. His wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always came first. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Howard had a personality larger than life and he never met a stranger. He always participated in the family’s life. “Bapa” could always be found at his grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Howard was always the gentleman and taught his children and grandchildren manners and respect.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Viola Levine; his first wife: Roberta Levine; his brother: Alvin Levine; his in-laws: William and Dorothy Rudnick.
Howard is survived by his wife: Maria Elvia Levine; his children: Cary Rieger and former husband Pete Rieger, Joseph and Darcie Levine, Steven Levine, Andrea and Dave Gronek, Casey and Audriana Wilhm; grandchildren: Kyle, Jami, Evan, Kailey, Hilary, Erica, Alexa, Ava, Aslan, Alejandra, Bianca; great–grandson: Greyson; sister: Martha Kaplan.
