Sonya Marlene Simon, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sanford Simon, M.D. Sonya was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Beatrice and Milton Zelinkoff. She had a twin sister, Sandra Rosenblum, who predeceased her.

Eisen of Kansas City, Missouri, announce that Stu passed away comfortably with his wife and daughter by his side on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, after putting up a hard-fought battle against COVID-19. Stu, born Feb. 12, 1947, is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 43 years, Ellen; his beloved daughter, Lauren (Russ) Peloquin; his cherished grandchildren, Parker and Hailey; and older sister, Barbara, as well as many more loving friends and relatives who will all miss him very much. Ruth Kaplan died on Oct. 2, 2020, the afternoon of her 95th birthday, at Village Shalom, an assisted-living center in Overland Park. The cause was pancreatic and liver cancer. She lived in Rancho Mirage, California, from 1994 until March of this year. She is survived by her son Fred Kaplan and his wife Brooke Gladstone of Brooklyn, New York; her daughter-in-law JoAnn Kaplan of Overland Park; and her grandchildren, Sophie, Maxine and Sam Kaplan, of Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Lawrence, Kansas, respectively.

Allen Herbert Levine

Our father, Allen Levine, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29 at Kansas City Hospice House. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Nov. 28, 1930, to Manuel and Sylvia Levine as the second of four children. He attended Paseo High School where he played basketball, loved Spanish class and met the love of his life, Donna Aaron. He and Donna shared 47 years of marriage, complete with extreme devotion for one another. Allen took care of Donna’s every wish, including grocery shopping and cooking. When she became ill in 1992, Allen cared for her dutifully until she passed away in 1998.

Our father, Sanford Allen Nadlman, of Marina Del Rey, California, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at the age of 87. He was born Dec. 14, 1932, to parents Ben Nadlman and Rose Demott (Rabinov) in Kansas City.
