Eva Hartwich recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends, including out-of-town relatives. Eva is a Holocaust survivor and a proud American who spent her years in this country raising a family with her late husband, Werner, who passed away in 2001. She was an accomplished seamstress working out of the home and for a number of well-known women’s clothing stores in the Kansas City area. Her family is very pleased she has reached this milestone in excellent health and continues to be an inspiration to everyone she knows.

Michael and Debra Levy of Overland Park, Kan., and Mary Levy of Pleasant Hill, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Marjorie Lynne Levy, to Joshua Lindsay, son of Jerry and Ronda Lindsay.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Joseph and Barbara Levy and Joan Galbraith. She attends the University of Missouri School of Pharmacy in Columbia, Mo., and will graduate in May 2012.

The future groom is the grandson of Joyce Lindsay. He attends the University of Missouri School of Pharmacy in Columbia, and will graduate in May 2012.

They came from Melborne; Jerusalem; both Northern and Southern California; Seattle; Las Vegas; Silver Spring, Md.; Ivoryton, Conn.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; Queens, N.Y.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Lawrence, Kan., to join local family and friends for the festivities.
