Harriett F. Charno, a life-warrior whose endless courage, determination and awe-inspiring grit and resourcefulness, made her transition to be with the loved ones who preceded her in death on Aug. 6.

William “Gene” Haney, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Aug. 8 at Menorah Medical Center.

Maxine Grossman, 100, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Aug. 2 at her home at Village Shalom. 

Rachel Felman Kurz, 92, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving sons on July 31. 

Arthur “Art” Rubin passed away on July 29 at the age of 84. 

Joshua J. Daniel passed away on July 2 at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Mike Allen Goldman, 70, passed away on July 19, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Oct. 24, 1955, Mike made his home in Overland Park, Kansas, for 44 years.

Herbert Lee Stein, 86, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 16, surrounded by his wife and children.

Victor (Vic) Allen Applebaum, age 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on June 29, at Village Shalom.

Mark Rafsky, 74, of Southfield, Michigan, died on July 7. Graveside services were held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery on July 13.
