Jo Leatrice Kritzler Tenenbaum — Joie, to everyone who knew her — died on April 10 at her home at Village Shalom in Overland Park, Kansas. She was surrounded by her family, who loved her immensely.

Rabbi Paul H. Levenson – beloved “Singing Rabbi,” gifted orator and lifelong builder of communities – died peacefully in his sleep in Rockville, Maryland, just two weeks shy of his 94th birthday.

Sagan Alister Zavelo, born on March 4, 1987, lived 39 years filled with kindness, curiosity and a remarkable ability to make others feel valued.

Sandra (Sandi) Miriam Lerner, age 86, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully on March 25 at Village Shalom surrounded by her husband and children.

Elizabeth Nussbaum of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on March 17 at the age of 98. 

Avram E. Rosenthal passed away peacefully at home in Spring, Texas, on Feb. 5.

Susan Lynn Wolkow, known affectionately as Susie by her friends and family, passed away on March 17.

Dr. Melvin Nathan Abend, 86, passed away on March 3, surrounded by family.

Janis Luke Koike, 82, formerly of Kansas City, passed away on March 5 in Springfield, Virginia, of complications related to cancer. 

The world lost one of its brightest lights on March 9 when Gracie Ellen Pack Meiggs passed away at the age of 37.
