Gloria M. Steinzeig, 95, passed away on April 8. 

Gloria was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Oklahoma City to I.C. and Sara Barnett. She met her husband-to-be, Alan, in 1949 and got engaged after five dates. They were married for 68 years and had two children, Marcy and Susie.

Gloria loved antiques and going to estate sales. She and a close friend joined forces and did antique shows together. Memory Lane Antiques was her passion. She and Alan then opened Gold Coast Jewelry and Antiques until their retirement.

She belonged to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and its sisterhood.

Gloria leaves her daughters, Marcy Alexander (Las Vegas, Nevada) and Susie and Steve Jacob (Overland Park, Kansas); and grandchildren Billy Jacob (Overland Park), Betsy and Ryan Smith (Alpine, Texas) and Lori and Ryan Hirschberg (Lee’s Summit, Missouri). She also leaves a nephew, Steve Steinzeig and family (California); nieces Cindy Steinzeig Cohen and family (Leawood, Kansas, and Chicago, Illinois) and Pam Steinzeig (Independence, Missouri). She also leaves Marshall and Julie Levy and family of Memphis, Tennessee.

The family would like to thank Bree and all the wonderful staff at Colonial Village for the special care she received.

Funeral services were held graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery on April 10. Donations to Safe Home or Boys Town are requested in lieu of flowers.
