Janet Kogan, 80, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Jan. 10. Funeral services were graveside on Jan. 12 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Janet was born on March 18, 1945, to the late Eddie and Marie Bell, in Prairie Village, Kansas. She married Melvyn Kogan in 1963 and was a lifelong Kansas City area resident.
Janet was an active member of Congregation Beth Shalom and its Sisterhood, Hadassah and Brandeis University Women. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved elephants, enjoyed attending plays, playing mahjongg and traveling, especially trips to Branson, Missouri, and cruises with her husband.
She is survived by husband, Melvyn Kogan; son, Andy Kogan; and daughter, Lori Kogan.
