Jeffrey David Rosen, age 66, passed away on Aug. 24.
He was born to Bettye Wagenheim Rosen and Daniel Theodore Rosen in St Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Ladue High School, Jeff attended Drake University. He moved to Kansas City to complete his accounting degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. While at UMKC, he met his wife Carole Minkin Rosen.
Jeff began his accounting career working for a nonprofit. He then joined the accounting firm of Laventhol and Horwath, eventually venturing out on his own to build JD Rosen and Company. Jeff was passionate about his work, had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed volunteering his time on various boards in the Jewish community.
In his free time, Jeff could be found at Oakwood Country Club. He was a member for over 40 years, eventually serving as club president. Golf was his passion, and he played almost every weekend in “The Saturday Game” and “The Sunday Game.”
Most important to Jeff was his family. His top priority was his wife, Carole, and their children, Sam Rosen and Danny Rosen. He was so proud of his sons and their accomplishments.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carole, and their children Sam, Danny and his wife, Deanna.
