The Jewish Federation of Kansas City's Young Adults Division (YAD) is taking its annual Hanukkah celebration up a notch with its first-ever Bagel Bash Gala on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. at Glory at Midtown.
In previous years, Bagel Bash has been a casual gathering featuring bagels, drinks and schmoozing, often hosted at sports and entertainment venues such as Larks and Puttery. This year, the event will maintain the festive spirit young adults have come to expect while adding a more formal touch.
The evening will feature kosher hors d'oeuvres, photo opportunities, a formal program, a DJ and a dance floor. The event will also celebrate YAD's philanthropic achievements through volunteering and charitable contributions.
Jamie Weiss of KMBC 9 News will serve as emcee. YAD also will present a series of fun awards and superlatives recognizing members for their engagement and involvement in the division.
One of the evening's honors will be YAD Member of the Year. Attendees can submit nominations during event registration, and the Bagel Bash Gala and YAD committees will select the recipient.
Young adults ages 21-45 are invited to attend. Tickets are currently $65, and $75 on the day of the event.
