Community members of all ages are invited to enjoy B’nai Jehudah’s Hanukkah Bazaar on Sunday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature handcrafted artwork, Judaica, seasonal shopping, food vendors and unique holiday gift ideas.
The Kansas City Chiefs game will also be playing for guests who want to watch and shop.
Local artist Terri Miro will return for a second year to sell her vintage-inspired leather bracelets and accessories.
“I was thrilled that B’nai Jehudah decided to take on the challenge of putting on a Hanukkah Bazaar last year,” Miro said. “It was so much fun seeing local artists and makers together in one space. The success of the Bazaar, which brought together more than 400 people last year, is a testament to both Kansas City’s creative community and its thriving Jewish community.”
Last year’s event featured 34 vendors, and organizers expect even more participants this year. The Bazaar aims to showcase artists and makers whose work is inspired by Jewish culture, tradition and Hanukkah, while also offering a variety of unique gifts and handmade goods for the holiday season.
Guests will have the opportunity to browse one-of-a-kind pieces, discover meaningful holiday gifts and connect with local creatives while celebrating the beauty and joy of the Festival of Lights.
Designed to be festive and family-friendly, the event offers attendees a chance to gather, shop and prepare for Hanukkah while supporting local artists and small businesses.
“My Nana gave me my first sewing machine when I was 16, and little did I know it would lead me to Tmiro Designs,” Miro said. “Growing up, I loved pottery, knitting, sewing, painting and scrapbooking, but I began making my vintage-inspired leather bracelets 25 years ago after receiving a pair of sparkly shoe clips. Today, I create bracelets, purses, and card holders and participate in both local and out-of-town art shows.”
Miro previously participated in the KC Jewish Culture Festival and has been a vendor at the Boulder Jewish Festival for the past eight summers.
Admission is free and open to the public.
