Navigating Grief: A Support Group is for individuals impacted by loss and grief, with a focus on the Jewish experience of grief.

JFS Clinical Director Keslie Redel and Rabbi Mark Levin will provide support and create a communal space for participants to process their loss and grief’s impact on mental health

“Being human involves a level of loss and grief that we all have in common. When that loss and grief is prolonged or affects our ability to function, it’s so important that we seek connection and support,” Redel said. “Connecting with others who have shared experiences; connecting with art, music, nature and other things we love; and connecting within a space that feels safe are some accessible ways for us to sit with and work through what is challenging us.”

Navigating Grief: A Support Group will meet on a bi-weekly basis from August to December 2026. Participants can expect group discussion and hands-on activities using art materials. Spots are limited — those interested in participating can contact JFS Clinical Director Keslie Redel by email at or by phone at (913) 391-4584 by July 31.
