An ambulance donated to Magen David Adom will be dedicated in honor of the late Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
The ribbon-cutting and dedication will be held after the 6 p.m. Shabbat service on Friday, July 17.
The ambulance was donated by the Goldhirsch-Yellin Foundation, a Los Angeles-based foundation which supports Jewish advocacy, education, cancer research and more. Magen David Adom, the recipient of the ambulance, is Israel’s national emergency medical service.
Featured at the event will be Dr. Jordan Justice, a pediatric emergency medicine physician who has been affiliated with Magen David Adom for more than 20 years. Deborah Dolgin of American Friends of Magen David Adom, its American fundraising organization, will also participate in the dedication. A heavy oneg will follow.
Sarah Milgrim, age 26, and her partner, Yaron Lischinsky, were murdered last year in Washington, D.C., while attending an American Jewish Committee event. Milgrim is originally from Prairie Village, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Kansas.
