The Omaha Jewish Alumni Association (OJAA) extends an invitation to all former Omahans who live in the Kansas City area to come to its Heartland Homecoming.

The homecoming will be held on Sunday, April 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at B’nai Israel Synagogue (618 Mynster St., Council Bluffs, IA 51503). The OJAA intends for this event to honor Midwest roots and reconnect Jewish friends.

Those who come in on Friday, April 24, are invited to a welcome reception and guided tour of Omaha’s Staenberg Kooper Fellman Campus, which includes it Jewish Community Center, Rose Blumkin Jewish Home, Alan J. Levine Theater and Milton Mendel & Marsha Kleinberg Jewish Omaha Heritage Center.

Among the event chairs is former Omahan and current Overland Park, Kansas, resident Michael Fineman.
