Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) is introducing a new element to its spring celebration this year, “A Night of Mensches & Memories,” taking place Sunday, March 1, 2026: a panel of HBHA alumni reflecting on their lives, careers and the foundations built at HBHA.
The first panelist to be announced is Dr. Robyn H. Jacobs (class of 1980), a nephrologist in St. Louis, Missouri, affiliated with Mercy Hospital St. Louis and St. Luke’s Hospital-Chesterfield. Dr. Jacobs earned her medical degree through the six-year program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology. With over 20 years of experience, she has built a career while maintaining a strong commitment to family and Jewish values.
“I am so grateful for the education I received at HBHA so many years ago,” said Dr. Jacobs. “HBHA was very small at the time, but it prepared me for both professional and personal growth. I have had a successful career, married a wonderful Jewish man from St. Louis, and we are excited to welcome our first grandchild soon. Thank you to everyone at HBHA for making those early formative years unforgettable.”
“A Night of Mensches & Memories” will celebrate alumni, community and HBHA memories, with Purim aspects woven into the evening. Additional panelists will be announced as the event nears.
