Torah Learning Center (TLC) has announced three upcoming events for community members this month.

On Sept. 9 at 7 p.m., TLC will host Cooking with Brachie for Rosh Hashanah, an adults-only cooking class with Brachie Perl. Perl, TLC’s head of programming, is a chef and will facilitate a cooking experience for up to 10 participants to make Rosh Hashanah dishes such as salmon and a pomegranate, apple and cabbage salad. Registration and payment is available at bit.ly/RHCookingWithBrachie

TLC also leads the Kansas City Kosher Meals on Wheels Program and will host a round challah bake on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. to provide challahs for Meals on Wheels recipients. Participants will bake one roll to give to a recipient and two rolls to take home. The challot will be baked during the event, so they will be fresh that evening. Drinks and snacks will also be provided. Registration and payment is available at bit.ly/KMOWChallahBake

On Oct. 5, TLC will host a Sukkot seminar about the arba minim (four species). The open-house-style event will run from 2 to 8 p.m. With expert guidance, participants will choose an etrog, assemble their lulav and learn how to perform the mitzvah. Registration is due by Sept. 19 and can be done at bit.ly/SukkotSeminar
