Aaron Kanter and Samantha Goldstein of Overland Park, Kansas, announce their engagement.
Aaron is the son of Herman and Ann Kanter of Leawood, Kansas. He has a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and is pursuing his master’s degree in information technology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He has served for 13 years as a sergeant in the Army National Guard and currently works as a network engineer for Nemean at Fort Leavenworth. He is an avid runner and completed seven marathons over the past decade.
Samantha is the daughter of David and Peggy Goldstein. She has a bachelor’s degree in English (with a minor in secondary education) from Texas State University in San Marcos; a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Kansas State University (KSU) in Manhattan; and is pursuing her doctorate in education in curriculum and instruction. She has taught for seven years in public schools and was recognized as an Outstanding Graduate Student in the KSU College of Education in 2025. Her first publication was in the National Council of Teachers of English’s English Journal in May 2025.
