Stacey Aviva Solomon

Stacey Aviva Solomon, 38, of Overland Park, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Kansas City Avodah or a charity of one’s choice.
Stacey was born Oct. 13, 1979, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Dr. Steven and Ileene (Frank) Simon. She was self-employed as a yoga instructor and nutritionist.
Stacey was involved with Kollel and Avodah, Jewish service organizations. She was a very popular yoga teacher at studios throughout the city, including at the Chabad House.
Stacey was a Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and received her master’s degree from Hunter College, New York City. She was certified as a holistic health counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, New York City. Stacey also received her yoga certification from Darling Yoga, Overland Park.
Stacey was very charitable and gave to Planned Parenthood, Israeli Defense Force and the ACLU. She was a recent volunteer for a national political campaign.
Stacey is survived by her husband Garrett (Matt) Solomon and her sons, Eli Gabriel and Jonah Sage; parents, Dr. Steven and Ileene Simon; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer Simon and Matt Trokenheim; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Celia Solomon.
