Howard N. Levin, 84, passed away on Dec. 1, 2017, at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Florida, where he made his home. Howard was born on April 9, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Esther and David Levin.

 

He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City and then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he obtained a degree in business administration. He was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi social fraternity. After college, he was in the United States Air Force for three years and obtained the rank of first lieutenant. He was the owner of Holiday Wines and Liquors stores for over 30 years. He was the president of the Missouri Retail Liquor Association and a member of the Missouri Advisory Lottery Board. After he retired, he lived in Florida, and Johnson City, Tennessee. Howard enjoyed snow skiing, tennis and following professional sports.  

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Levin; son Michael Levin, Canoga Park, California; two granddaughters, Alexandra Levin and Renee Levin, Canoga Park; stepchildren Tanya Rathuburn of South Carolina, Jeffrey O’Neal of Kansas, and Lisa Perry of California and their nine children; brother Jerry Levin (Lenora), Dallas, Texas; former wife, Sandra Levin of Kansas City; and cousins, nephews and nieces.  

Howard was cremated in Florida. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
