Lois Myers, 87, lifetime resident of the Kansas City, Mo., area, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Village Shalom.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at The Louis Memorial Chapel with burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Village Shalom.

Lois was born in Kansas City, Mo., on April 17, 1926, the daughter of Abe and Rose Roven.

She was a lifelong member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue and was a past president and longtime member of its Sisterhood.

She was also a member of B’nai B’rith Women and Hadassah for many years.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Samuel Myers, in 2005; and two sisters, Bess Davis and Rebecca Bold.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Allison Myers and their children, Brian Myers and Rachel Myers, all of Overland Park; Randall and Debra Myers, Chesterfield, Mo., and their children, Katie Myers, New York City and Lisa Myers, Des Moines, Iowa; David and Norma Myers, Chesterfield, and their children, Dr. Daniel Myers, Minneapolis, and Jessica Myers, Chesterfield; also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
