William “Gene” Haney, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Aug. 8 at Menorah Medical Center.
Gene was born on Oct. 17, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas. He married Debbie in 1993, and together they shared 30 years of travel and fun. Gene enjoyed fishing and camping, and he was always quick to crack a joke.
He is survived by his son, Ben, and his cousin Gary.
Graveside services were held on Aug. 10 at Sheffield Cemetery.
