KU Hillel staff spent the first week of the University of Kansas’s 2022 fall semester welcoming new and returning students.

The Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City will host its annual citywide Selichot program and service on Saturday, Sept. 17, in preparation for the High Holy Days.

Day of Discovery 2022, which was hosted at the Jewish Community Center on Sunday, Aug. 21, brought learners and educators together, both virtually and in person.

“The Schmooze,” a Sunday morning radio show hosted by KU Chabad’s Rabbi Zalman Tiechtel, won the second place award in its category in the Kansas Association of Broadcasters’ (KAB) 2022 Station Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.

Bike for the Brain will host its 17th annual community bicycle ride on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

The Kansas African American Museum (TKAAM) and Jewish Community Relations Bureau | American Jewish Committee (JCRB | AJC) are bringing the play “Canaan: A Cultural Presentation” to The White Theatre.

This September, the Jewish Community Relations Bureau | AJC will be conducting its second “Antisemitism in Schools” survey to learn more about the experiences of Jewish middle and high school students in the Kansas City area. 

This year will mark the 19th anniversary of a walk for survivors to gather with others and celebrate the lives of loved ones lost to suicide.
