As 2021 begins and we re-enter the world with a new perspective, many young couples may be thinking about family planning — starting or expanding their families. But sometimes it’s hard to think about where to begin. Priya, a program of Jewish Family Services, offers Jewish individuals and families emotional support, resource connection, spiritual guidance and financial assistance with fertility treatments and adoption.
Eleven major Jewish organizations including Priya, a program of Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City, are coming together in the first annual Jewish Fertility Summit at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22. The free virtual summit is hosted by I Was Supposed to Have a Baby and Svivah organizations.

Tiberius “Tibor” Klausner, of blessed memory, is this year’s honoree for HBHA’s Civic Service Award in a private broadcast celebration on Sunday, March 21. It is not often that an individual is honored posthumously, but Tibor is the exception, because he was an exceptional friend to HBHA.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City and The J will offer a three-part virtual course series titled “Visions in the Night: Judaism and Dreams” with Rabbi Howard Avruhm Addison. The series will kick off on Feb. 24 with subsequent dates on March 3 and March 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. The course is part of the Jewish Federation’s and The J’s collaborative Jewish Experiences programming.
