Hadassah Greater Kansas City will celebrate its 24th Annual Walk for Health sponsored by its Nurses Council, which will be held on Sunday, May 10 (Mother’s Day), from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Leawood, Kansas.
The exact address provided upon registration.
This year, the local council has chosen to promote both physical and mental health and raise funds for Hadassah. Participants are encouraged to come with a family member or friend and walk as little or as much as they wish.
The local chapter will be honoring child life members and child Hadassah associates, including those members who were once child members. They will also be recognizing all Hadassah members who have given the gift of Hadassah to a child.
Donations to Hadassah in honor or memory of a nurse or loved one are welcome. These donations will help support pediatric care at the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Israel. Hadassah has partnered with the Rady Family Foundation, which has pledged to match all new gifts up to $10 million, that support pediatric care at the HMO.
At the Walk for Health, there will be a drawing for a free annual Hadassah membership. Those who want to participate in the drawing must be present to win. Members may choose any non-member ages 17+ in Greater Kansas City to receive a membership. Non-members may choose to use the gift for themselves.
This free event is open to all, but no walk-ins are allowed. Registration must be done by May 7. The chapter hopes that its members, Hadassah Associates and the community will show their support of local nurses and nursing students by attending this annual walk.
Registration and donations can be done at events.hadassah.org/GKCwalk. To make a donation by mail, donors can send a check payable to Hadassah (including “GKC Walk 2026” in the memo line) to Hadassah Midwest, 900 Skokie Blvd, Ste 295, Northbrook, IL 60062. Making a donation is separate from event registration.
All attendees will be required to sign a Hadassah Event Participation Release to attend Hadassah in-person events. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
