Jewish Family Services (JFS) is hosting a series of upcoming Neighbor Market events to make it easy for individuals and families to pick up free groceries and household essentials.

In partnership with Kanbe’s Markets, Harvesters and other local organizations, JFS will offer these drop-by markets at its Brookside location (425 E. 63rd St., Kansas City, MO 64110) on Fridays, May 15, June 12 and July 10, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. Inventory will vary each week, offering a fresh selection of items. These Neighbor Markets are open to anyone experiencing food insecurity no matter their faith, age, culture or background.

JFS is partnering with Harvesters – A Community Food Network and AdventHealth to bring these markets to life to ensure more people in the community have access to the food they need.

JFS is currently seeking volunteers to assist at the markets. More information is available by emailing
