Stephanie and Donald Fehr of Rye Brook, New York, previously from Kansas City, Missouri, are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Rachel Lynn Fehr, to Christopher Lee Mankiewicz, son of JoAnna and Leo Mankiewicz of Surprise, Arizona, on April 28, 2018, in Kansas City. Rachel is originally from Rye Brook and Christopher is from San Francisco.
The wedding and the reception with family and friends were held at the InterContinental Hotel on the Plaza and officiated by Rabbi Mark Levin.
Rachel is the granddaughter of Irene “Dolly” Gulko Fehr and the late Louis A. Fehr of Overland Park and the late Sylvia Ruth Eveloff Feldman of Overland Park. Christopher is the grandson of Anthony John Ciccolini II and the late Josephine Ciccolini of San Francisco and Eufemia Mankiewicz and the late Joseph Mankiewicz of New Jersey.
The wedding party included Elyse Fehr, Rye Brook (maid of honor and sister of the bride), Jasmine Crouse, San Diego (matron of honor), Imogen Frleta, Queens, New York (matron of honor), Joe Mankiewicz, Beverton, Oregon, (best man and brother of the groom), Andrew Coggeshall, San Francisco (groomsman), Jamie Mahan, Oregon (grooms maiden) and Pallavi Veera, San Francisco (attendant). The flower girls included Lydia Fehr, Bethesda, Maryland, (niece of the bride), Naomi Fehr, Chicago (niece of the bride) and Emma Mankiewicz, Beverton (niece of the groom), and the ring bearer was Jackson Mankiewicz, Beverton (nephew of the groom). Ushers were David Fehr, Chicago, (brother of the bride), Mark Fehr, Bethesda (brother of the bride), Anthony Ciccolini III (uncle of the groom) and Donna Ciccolini, San Francisco (aunt of the groom).
The couple were surrounded by family and friends who came from a variety of places, including Arizona, Australia, California, Canada, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Rachel, who is a child service specialist and teacher, will continue to work at the Jewish Community Rosenberg Center in San Francisco and Chris, digitization manager, will continue to work at the Internet Archives in San Francisco where they will make their home.
They are going to London, Paris and Amsterdam for their honeymoon this August. They want to thank everyone who was able to attend this special moment in their lives.

Megan and Jeremy Roberts of Houston, Texas, announce the birth July 11 of a son, Jack Benjamin Roberts. Grandparents are Pam and Leon Dagerman of Dallas, Texas, and Valerie and Sam Roberts of Houston. Jack’s great-grandmothers are Adela Dagerman of Overland Park, Betty Kopin of Dallas, formally of Leawood, and Faye Kotin of Houston.

Harold and Marie Asner will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 18. The Asners were married in 1968 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, with Louis Asner as best man. Harold and Marie have lived in the Kansas City area for 37 years.
Marie is a retired church organist and is a member of the Selichot Choir and Interfaith Choir at Congregation Beth Torah. She is also an entertainment reviewer with over 5,800 bylines and a former Kansas Senior Poet Laureate.
Harold was a real estate branch manager for the U.S. Postal Service. He later served as a tutor coordinator at Johnson County Community College until his recent retirement.
The Asners plan to have a small 50th anniversary party with close family and then celebrate each month for the next 12 months in a special way, either with friends or relatives as they come through the Kansas City area or in a charitable way. They are thankful for their 50 years of marriage.

Jennifer Klein and Chad Secrest announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, , at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
She is the granddaughter of Bonnie and Leonard Friedman. She is the sister of David, Annie and Saige.
Alyssa enjoys dance, cooking and art. For her mitzvah project, she volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and baked treats.
Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family and to attend the Kiddush following the service.

Molly and Daniel Brystowski of Southfield, Michigan, announce the birth May 9 of a daughter, Leora Aria (Lily) Brystowski.
Grandparents are Norman and Jeannie Frank of Overland Park, and Rose and Dr. Henry Brystowski of Oak Park, Michigan.

Lori and Charles Siegel of Kansas City, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Rose Siegel, to David Matthew Nielsen, son of Lesley Nielsen and Carl Nielsen of London, England.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Stanley and Ruthine Simon of Kansas City, and the late Ada and David Siegel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended Park Hill South for high school, Machon Maayan and Yeshiva University for college, and JTS Davidson School of Jewish Education for her MA. Julia has a master’s in experiential Jewish education and works in the Jewish nonprofit field.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Peter and Sonia Packer and Nancy Nielsen and the late Dennis Nielsen. He attended the University of Birmingham where he received a BSc psychology. He spent time in Ohr Somayach Yeshiva in Jerusalem and also works in the Jewish nonprofit field, currently serving as the director of development for Aish UK in London.
David proposed in March 2018, in front of a sunset on a beach in Naples, Florida. Julia and David plan to spend the summer in New York, and then move to London in late July. An August 2018 wedding is scheduled in London, England.

Cynthia Wendt and Steven Fehr of Leawood announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Eleanor Fehr, to Andrew Nemec Bort, son of Linda Nemec and Christopher Bort of Silver Spring, Maryland.
Caroline is the granddaughter of Irene Fehr and the late Louis Fehr of Overland Park and Betty Wendt and the late Charles and Maxine Wendt of Houstonia and Sedalia, Missouri.
Andrew is the grandson of Jean Bort and the late Albert Bort of Bethesda, Maryland, and Gladys Nemec and the late William Nemec of New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania.
Caroline and Andrew are both graduates of Washington University in St. Louis. Caroline earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. The couple live in the District of Columbia, where Caroline is an attorney at a nonprofit law firm and Andrew is a software developer at the Washington Post.
Caroline and Andrew will be married in September in Kansas City.

Gabrielle “Gabs” Baker, daughter of Janet and Bruce Baker and granddaughter of the late Ruth and Harry Baker, received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law on May 19, 2018. Gabs graduated from Blue Valley North High School in 2010 and from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish in May 2013. After working in Denver as a bilingual human relations specialist with Saunders Construction Company for a year, Gabs made the decision to return home to take her LSAT and apply to law school. She will remain in Colorado and take the state bar exam at the end of July and then start her employment with Colorado’s Office of the State Public Defender this fall.

Renée Polsky Silver and Larry Silver announce the birth March 17 of a daughter, Elaine (Lainey) Ruth Silver. Nathan Silver.
Grandparents are Ellen and Larry Polsky of Leawood, Kansas; Sarene Silver and Jack Jagoda of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and Ken Silver and Teresa Roguski of Eagen, Minnesota.

Adrian and Jennifer Salazar of Danville, Pennsylvania, announce the birth Jan. 2 of a daughter, Eliana Rose Salazar. They are also the parents of Noah Scott Salazar.
Grandparents are Ellen and Larry Polsky of Leawood, Kansas, and Roy and Odelia Salazar of Richardson, Texas. The great-grandmother is Virginia Salazar of Richardson.
