Andrea Levitan and Mark Ellis announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Elia Remi Ellis, at 10 a.m. May 22, 2021, at Congregation Beth Shalom. Relatives and friends are invited to worship virtually with the family.

Josh and Erin Fried of Novi, Michigan, announce the birth of Ethan Samuel Fried on April 15, 2021. The grandparents are Sandi and Ed Fried of Leawood, Kansas, Janis Sattler-Fried of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Jeff Fried and Alisa Bayer of Farmington Hills, Michigan. Great-grandparents are Kathy Sattler of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Frances Fried of Omaha.

Daniel and Katie Cohodes of Houston, Texas, announce the birth of their daughter, Caroline Patricia Cohodes, on Jan. 4, 2021. The grandparents are Joel and Carl Cohodes of Houston, Texas, and Ben Butler and the late Patricia Butler  of blessed memory of Richmond, Texas.

Todd and Karen Newmark announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Avery Newmark, on Saturday May 15 at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Jeremy and Debra Sandler announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Samantha Sandler, which took place Saturday May 1 at Congregation Beth Shalom.

Eva Hartwich and family celebrated her milestone 100th Birthday on April 25th. Eva is a Holocaust survivor born in Hanover, Germany. She and her late husband Werner left Germany with their own families in early 1939. Eva and Werner met and married in Shanghai China before immigrating to the U.S. in 1947. Eva’s family and friends celebrated the occasion with a private gathering where she lives, which included a Zoom meeting attended by a number of family members and friends around the globe. It was a wonderful celebration of her life and we’d like to thank everyone that participated.

The grandparents are Igor and Larissa Kulinets of Overland Park, Kansas, and Girgory and Irina Budagov of Kansas City, Missouri. Great-grandparents are Alexei and Margarita Budagov of Kansas City, Missouri;  Viktor Semenov of Overland Park, Kansas; and Valentina Litvinova of Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.

Hal Klopper and Carole Maurel announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Max Laszlo Klopper, at 9:30am EDT on Saturday, April 24th, 2021 via Zoom through Kane Street Synagogue in Brooklyn, New York. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to share virtually in the service.
