Janet and Louie Zwillenberg and Joan Lundquist announce the engagement of their children, Melissa Lundquist and Jeremy Zwillenberg of Chicago.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mary and Winston Green of Grand Mound, Iowa. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern Illinois University. She is currently a member of the Human Capital team at Sterling Partners.

The future groom is the grandson of Marian Grossman, the late Jerome B. Grossman and the late Joseph and Edith Zwillenberg of Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is currently a freight broker at On a Roll Trucking.

A family wedding in Chicago is planned for October.

Harry is the grandson of Patti Shapiro and the late Alvin Shapiro, and Bruno and Luisanna Flamini of Rome.

Emma is the granddaughter of Barbara Bograd, Boynton Beach, Fla., and Anne and Steve Music, Dallas.

Dr. William and Jodi Rosenthal announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Melissa Nicole, on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Kehilath Israel Synagogue. Missy will participate in the Traditional Kehilath Israel service beginning at 8 a.m. She will also lead Congregation Beth Shalom’s Conservative service at 10:30 a.m., immediately following the K.I. service. Both services will be at Kehilath Israel Synagogue.

Missy is the granddaughter of Noreen Greenberg and the late Marvin Greenberg and the late Dr. Mortimer and Harriett Rosenthal.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Betty Mittelman and the late Geniek Mittelman and the late Pauline and Harry Glass. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in psychology and is currently working toward her master’s degree at Brooklyn College in early childhood education.

The future groom is the grandson of Marion Horlbogen and the late Robert Horlbogen and the late Doris and Raymond West. He has a bachelor’s degree in jazz studies from Berklee College of Music and a master’s degree in jazz studies from William Paterson University.

A Sept. 29 wedding is planned in Narragansett, R.I.

Pamela and Ari Pernick of Snoqualmie, Wash., announce the birth Dec. 20 of a son, Rhen Bradley. They are also the parents of Simeon Ryan and Caitlyn Arwen. Grandparents are Steven and Marcia Schorr of Overland Park and Matthew and Susan Pernick of Oakton, Va.
