Steven Rubin and Nicole Gibrick were married Sept. 6 in Chicago, Ill., at the City Winery. 

The bride is the daughter of Ilene and Dennis Gibrick of Chicago. She works as an educational publisher at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Autumn Kent and Magnus Grimmett of Aspen, Colo., announce the birth of a son, John Balthazar “Bazza” Grimmett, on July 24, 2014.

Bazza is the grandson of Karen Polsky Kent of Aspen, Stephen Kent and Joan Benson of Redstone, Colo., and John and Bernadette Grimmett of the United Kingdom.

Dion and Howard Lutzk announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Lutzk, to Benjamin Caruba, son of Marcia Letizia and Alain Caruba and step-son of Glen Letizia.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Rickie and Dr. Edward Haith, and Eleanor and the late Dr. Bernard Lutzk.

The future groom is the grandson of Ruth Leder and the late Warren Leder and the late Adrienne and Maurice Caruba.

A small wedding is planned in New York for Jan. 10, 2015.

Laura Amy and Greg Harding of Alexandria, Va., announce the birth June 27 of a son, Nolan Spiro. They are also the parents of Mayim.

Nolan’s maternal grandparents are Harriet Garten of Cary, N.C., and Sam Garten of Raleigh, N.C. His paternal grandparents are Benny and Susan Harding of Leawood. His paternal great-grandmother is the late Mrs. Dorothy Harding of Kansas City, Mo.

Laura and Adam Satz of Leawood announce the birth on Sept. 28 of a daughter, Allie Rose.

Grandparents are Jocelyn and John Fry of Leawood and Carolyn and Larry Satz of St. Louis, Mo.

Barry S. Slotnick was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from the Heart of America Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) at a ceremony on Nov. 15  The Silver Beaver is the highest award for volunteerism given by BSA.

Ilya and Michele Frumkin announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Joshua Aaron, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, at Congregation Beth Torah. Joshua is the grandson of Sam and Pauline Frumkin of Chicago, and Gene Bumpas and Judi Bumpas. Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family.

Jay and Kim Lewis announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Mckenna Caroline, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Mckenna is the granddaughter of Stuart Lewis of Prairie Village and the late Hilary Lewis, and Ron and Sheryl Davidow.
