Roz and Fred Goodman of Leawood announce the engagement of their son, Michael Edward Goodman, to Antoniette June Fortner, daughter of Verna Fortner and the late George Fortner of Junction City, Kan.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Phyllis Guise and the late Clara and Dolphis Senesac. She attended Washburn University and earned a degree in radiologic technology. She is currently employed at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Rebecca and Julius Shoob and the late Anncy and Shale Goodman. He attended the University of Kansas and received a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is currently vice president of operations at Goody Tickets, LLC in Overland Park.

A March 29 wedding at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah is planned.

Zohar and Ben Flacks announce the birth June 12 of a son, Eli Noam.

Grandparents are Janelle and Harvey Flacks and Ofra and Chaim Winer of Kibbutz Bet Hashitta, Israel. Great-grandmother is Marge Rabin Brodkin.

Cynthia and Arthur Liebenthal of Leawood announce the engagement of their son, Adam Matthew Liebenthal, to Melissa Beth Goldsher, daughter of Barbara and Allan Goldsher, Tewksbury, Mass.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Fay and the late Seymour Poles and Pat and the late David Goldsher. She attended Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in communications, majoring in advertising and psychology. She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is currently employed as marketing director for EF Explore America in Cambridge, Mass.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Florence and Herman Wasserman and Clara Liebenthal and the late Irving Liebenthal. He attended Indiana University as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in public financial management, and Boston University as a graduate student, earning a master’s degree in investment management. He is a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. He is currently employed as a prime brokerage account manager at JP Morgan in Boston.

A June 29 wedding at The Crane Estate in Ipswich, Mass., is planned.
