Alejandro and Sarah Aptilon announce the bar mitzvah of their son, Leonardo Elías Aptilon, on October 23 at The Shul, Chabad of Leawood.
Leonardo is the grandson of Israel Aptilon (of blessed memory), Flora Rovner of Givat Yeshayahu, Israel; Marvin and Debbie Jean Fremerman of Springfield, Missouri; and Susan Hammerton of Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has a 10-year-old sister, Eliane.
Leonardo attends Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy and enjoys playing the violin, cross country, basketball, drumming, drawing, writing and hanging out with his friends, family, and his dog Morgan.
For his bar mitzvah project, he is working on a volunteer event for KC Kosher Meals on Wheels, an organization that he has been involved with for the past several years.
