Gloria Lee Gersh passed away in Rancho Mirage, California, on Oct. 28, 2023, due to complications from heart surgery.
Gloria was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 1, 1956. She graduated from Shawnee Mission East in 1974 and attended the University of Kansas and Avial College. Gloria pursued her dream of becoming a golf professional and was rewarded entry into the LPGA in 1996.
Gloria was a great athlete and enjoyed playing many sports. She loved watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Margaret Gersh. She is survived by her wife, Vicky Harrison of Palm Desert, California; her brother Myron Gersh and wife Susan Gersh of Kansas City; her sister Arlene and husband John Rubenstein of Kansas City; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City or the Jewish Community Center.
