Vicki Lee Gershon (Kapnick)
Vicki Lee Gershon (Kapnick) passed away peacefully on Sept. 7, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Herbert Gershon; their children Jordan Gershon(Beth) of Overland Park and Stacy Schenberg (Mark) of St. Louis, Missouri; and grandchildren, Alex Gershon and Brooke Niethamer (Erik) and Brandon and Emily Schenberg.
Vicki wanted it known that she felt her biggest accomplishments in life were first being a mother, followed by becoming a bubbe to her precious grandchildren.
She was proud to have worked for the Shawnee Mission School District at Shawnee Mission South in the cafeteria for over 20 years. She adored the students and never knew a stranger.
She will always be remembered as having a smile on her face and having a fun-loving sense of humor. She will be deeply and dearly missed by both family and friends.
A private graveside service was held with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah or donation to the American Cancer Society.
