Harold Gitomer, 79, of Vineland, N.J., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.

He was born in Atlantic City, N.J. and lived in Vineland for more than 50 years.

Mr. Gitomer was an Army veteran, a graduate of Rutgers University and a longtime member of Beth Israel Synagogue in Vineland. He travelled extensively throughout the world, was a gourmet chef, an avid fisherman, and loved playing bridge and listening to cantorial music.

He was a self-employed produce buyer for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his wife Arlene “Bunny” of 57 years; two sons, Adam Gitomer of Vineland and Aric Gitomer and his wife Dr. Helene Reich of Parsippany; his brother, Saul Gitomer of Overland Park; and two grandchildren, Rebecca and Adina Gitomer.

Graveside services were to have been held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Carmel Hebrew Cemetery, Millville, N.J. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
