Myron Louis Levy, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was 89 years old.

He was predeceased by his much beloved wife, Helen Spack Levy; parents, Roselyn and Tamen Levy; and brothers, Paul and Morton Levy. He also was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Sol Felman and Barney Kurz, and his sisters-in-law, Marge Felman and Betty Levy.

Myron was born April 25, 1923, in St. Louis. He served his country in the U.S. Army, following the attack on Pearl Harbor. In 1954, he married Helen, and they were married 58 years, living happily in Kansas City, Mo., until 2002, when they moved to Houston to be with their children.

Myron’s great pleasures in life included his many bowling leagues and tournaments, spending time with his large, loving family and playing Caribbean stud poker. He loved his food and never missed a meal. His children and grandchildren remember him telling hysterical jokes and stories about different people in his life.

Myron is survived by his children, Mitch and Diane Levy, Bruce and Linda Levy, and Brad and Malka Levy, who loved him very much. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Rachael, Tracy, Dana, Haya, Alexandra, Josh and Sean Levy. Myron also leaves a large and loving extended family spread across the entire country, including his brother, Allen Levy, and sister-in-law, Edie Levy. He also is survived by brother and sisters-in-law, Elaine and Gerald Kisluk, Morton and Leta Spack and Rachel Kurz.

Myron simply was a happy, hardworking man who lived for his family and relished his time spent with them.
