Bill was born in Kansas City, Mo., to Joseph and Annabel Kalis Cohen, who both preceded him in death. Bill was a graduate of Longview Community College, Kansas City, Mo., and Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kan. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation from 1975 through 1987 as a district service manager. He was an avid Chrysler/MOPAR fan and was adept at working on automobiles and other mechanical objects. Although Bill had lost his mobility, he never lost his wit, humor or his wonderful smile and he is now in a happier place. Bill accepted his disability with as much patience as possible. Although frustrated with his situation, he rarely complained. Bill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Technical Sgt. William (BJ) and Master Sgt. Kimberly Cohen and grandson Jacob of Penn Valley, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Brian Morris and grandchildren Sam and Lindsey of Lee’s Summit; a sister, Toby Tadman-Little, New York City; cousins, Larry and Ellen Cohen, Kansas City, Mo.; and former wife, Sheri Knott of Nixa, Mo.; along with numerous family and friends. Bill requested his remains be donated to science in hopes of helping others. At this time, memorial plans are still pending. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory may do so to any organization supporting brain cancer/tumor research, or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who attended to Bill over the years. |
