Harold Marshall Glazer, 85, of Overland Park, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home.

Services were held Friday, May 4, in the Yukon Chapel at Mount Carmel Cemetery, followed by burial. The family suggests contributions to Congregation Beth Shalom or a charity of one’s choice.

Mr. Glazer was born in Kansas City, Mo., and was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Central High School.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. Following his military service, he attended and graduated from Northwestern University.

Harold worked as a T.V. director at WDAF for 20 years. He then went on to work for the UMKC Medical School as a manager in the office of educational resources.

Mr. Glazer was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom for 48 years, was a member of the ROMEOs and loved to build and maintain his model railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sadie Glazer.

Mr. Glazer is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Glazer, of the home. His extended family of nieces and nephews were like his own children.

He will be greatly missed by his many friends and extended family.
