A holy brother

In case you missed it, one of our local Jewish high school brethren just recently completed a remarkable undertaking — bringing the whole city together to learn Mishnah. Gavi Glickman, a student at the HBHA, wanted to honor his dear friends, the Weiss family zt”l (may the memory of these righteous ones be a blessing), who tragically passed away in a small plane crash on New Year’s Eve. (Five members of the Steinberg family, two crew members and a tour guide also died in the crash).

An eye-opener

Lee Levin’s paean to the “incredible successes of the Trump administration…” (Trump’s successes, Dec. 28, 2017) sets the stage for an equally factual recap by Levin when the stock market corrects, consumer confidence declines, home prices drop and unemployment rises.

Thinking back all those many years ago, I believe that I was in college when I vividly recall hearing that “the Jews control the world.” Some specifically claimed we, as a people, controlled all the banks and Wall Street, ran the majority of the media and its various outlets, likewise Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

Article distorts the truth

About three weeks ago Trump announced that approximately 250,000 “temporarily” admitted Haitians and Salvadorans must return to their countries. This seems reasonable. The earthquakes causing their exodus happened over a decade ago.
