Hitler’s Germany course description.

This fall semester, as part of its adult learning initiative and in addition to the rich variety of Jewish Studies courses being offered in Lawrence, KU’s Jewish Studies Program will expand its course offerings at the KU Edwards Campus, located at 12600 Quivira Road in Overland Park. 

Dr. Eric Welch, newly appointed visiting assistant professor in the Jewish Studies Program, will offer “Jerusalem through the Ages,” a historical look at the development of Jerusalem as a sacred city in Judaism, Christianity and Islam (Monday, 4:30-7 p.m.). {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Dr. Fran Sternberg, lecturer in the Jewish Studies Program, will teach “Medieval to Early Modern Jewry,” a survey of the Jewish experience in Europe from the 6th through 17th centuries (Tuesday, 6-8:30 p.m.) and “Hitler and Nazi Germany,” an examination of Nazi Germany from its 19th century antecedents through World War II and the Holocaust (Wednesday, 6-8:30 p.m.).

Kansas residents who are 60 years of age or older, who meet the requirements for Kansas resident tuition status, and who wish to enroll as non-degree-seeking students may qualify for a waiver of tuition and must apply to the University of Kansas.
