Stuart Elliott Krug, 69, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from Crohn’s disease. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO, with burial to follow at Sheffield Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 W. 75th, Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Mr. Krug was born on May 15, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Joseph and Fannie Kolkin Krug, and was a lifelong resident until moving to Las Vegas in 1999. 

He served in the U.S. Navy during the war in Vietnam. Mr. Krug’s parents owned the Eastside Market for over 30 years. He was a former member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue.

Mr. Krug was preceded in death by both of his parents and ex-wife Sherry M. Krug. Mr. Krug is survived by his son: Joshua William Krug and his wife Amy Marie Krug of Las Vegas; step-grandson: Adam P. O’Reilly of Clarksville, Tennessee; his daughter: Jessica Ann Krug of the Bronx, New York; cousin: Evan Jacobs, his wife Mary Jacobs, and sister: Bernice Jacobs of Memphis, Tennessee. His uncle Leonard and Aunt Cathy Krug of Columbia, Kentucky; along with cousins also survive. He was a kind, loving person that enjoyed life and will surely be missed.
