Macy Josephine Farlow, 95, died July 10, 2016, at Brookdale, State Line in Leawood, Kansas. Jo, as she was known to all, was born in Bayard, Florida, on Dec. 3, 1920, to Macy and Charles Price.
She was the fourth of five siblings. Jo lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, where she raised three children. In 2014, she moved to Brookdale to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Services will be held in Jacksonville, Florida. The family requests no flowers. Donations, if desired, can be sent to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah, or to the charity of one’s choice.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her daughter, Patricia Bell, her former husband, A.K. Farlow, and her companion for seven years, Shirley Baughn. She is survived by her son, Robert Farlow (Tammy), her daughter Donna Thalblum (Harvey), seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She lived a long and full life, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
