Mark Pinsker

Mark Pinsker, JD, 61, of Phitsanuloke, Thailand, passed away on Oct. 13, 2015, in Bangkok, Thailand.

 

Mark was born and grew up in the Kansas City area and is predeceased by his parents, Oscar T. Pinsker, MD and Bonnie L. Pinsker. {mprestriction ids="1,3"}Surviving him are his wife of 26 years, Somjit Pinsker; his two daughters, Suree and Fern of Phitsanuloke, Thailand, and his sister, Lisa Pinsker of Fairway, Kansas.

Mark graduated from UMKC law school, then moved to the Marianna Island of Saipan to practice law. Here he met Jit, the couple married and lived in Kansas City for a number of years prior to moving back to his wife’s home town of Phitasuloke, Thailand. Mark enjoyed his work as a professor, teaching medical students at Narusean University Medical School before retiring in 2010.

A Buddhist funeral and memorial service was held in Thailand. After the family and community observed three days of prayer services at the temple, on the fourth day the body was cremated according to Buddhist tradition and the remains released ceremonially into the Andaman Sea off the coast of Phuket, Thailand.

Mark, like his father, was an avid fan of golf and poker. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
