John Berkowitz

John Berkowitz, 60, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at his home. Memorial services were held Monday, Nov. 2 at Club 1000. John was born Aug. 11, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Lennie Berkowitz, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a spirited entrepreneur, who created Club 1000, Kansas City’s first and finest, legal, six floor multi-event hall. 

John always put his family first. Everything he accomplished was for them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Berkowitz, and is survived by his wife of 25 years, Debbie, of the home; daughter: Sarah Berkowitz; son: Aaron Berkowitz; mother: Lennie Berkowitz; brother: Lee Berkowitz; sister: Gail Berkowitz and her husband, Robin Gifford; and his sister-in-law: Beth Droskin.

John will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Expressed by John, “Veni, Vidi, Vici.”
